Bloom Where You Are Planted

With a 30-picture slideshow presentation that offers real-life moments of struggle, hilarity and beauty, Cindy humorously invites her listeners into a real-life gardening experience … all so they can learn, as she did, how our lives model the wonderful and often tedious process of preparing, planting, maintaining and harvesting.

Through a collection of stories, photos and lessons, Cindy takes her listeners on a wonderful adventure, as God did for her, to see how choosing to “Bloom where you are planted” is in faith what God desires for each of us. In preparing to bloom, planting the right seeds and faithfully maintaining ones life, Cindy will show how ones faith can bloom and come alive in ways one could never imagine, giving them incredible influence exactly where they are, being exactly who they are and using exactly what they’ve got.

Collecting Moments

By way of a 60-picture slideshow presentation, offering 60 real-life moments scattered throughout a three-year faith journey, Cindy invites her listeners to consider how God speaks, leads and reveals Himself to us amidst the everyday moments of our lives. By using a collection of her own personal photos and stories from her life-changing and faith-shaping adventure, Cindy inspires and challenges each listener to awaken to the ways God wants to speak, lead and reveal Himself to them amidst the everyday moments of their life.

This presentation challenges the listener to look at …

  • What it means to collect moments in life, not the things of life

Attempting to tackle the elephants in the room, taboo topics and never-before-thought-of insights, this interactive and conversational event involves group participation and a willingness to be open, honest and candid.

This session addresses topics and themes the church might be struggling to grapple with. In bringing these conversations to light, Cindy aims to help build bridges and shed stigma, stereotypes and misunderstanding as The Church attempts to move forward with a greater understanding of the culture they find themselves living amidst.

Perhaps your budget doesn’t allow for a weekend long retreat or even a one-time big-night event, but you’d still like to do something. With this in mind, perhaps an intimate and interactive devotional talk would be of interest to you.

With over 500 devotionals to choose from, inviting Cindy to lead a small Bible discussion with a short time of reflection and conversation could be exactly what your group is looking for. Bloom Where You Are Planted (4 Session Series)

Session One — A Life In Preparation — challenges the listeners to consider how carving out time and space for thinking and planning is the foundational piece for any life of faith. Through the lens of scripture, this session offers thought-provoking questions that set the tone for every other session to unfold: what kind of fruit do you want in your life? What type of harvest do you want to reap? Are you willing to do the work of preparation to see your life in bloom?

Session Two — A Life In Planting — is an insightful look at the types of seeds we plant or want to plant. By discussing the various spiritual gifts found in 1 Corinthians 12 and how we’re all called to live different lives of faith, this session helps the listener discover what seeds they’re called to plant and what kind of harvest God desires for them to reap.

Session Three— A Life In Maintenance — tackles the hard topics of life with light-hearted humour and ease. Everyone knows how difficult hard work and challenging circumstances can be, but as Cindy’s shares about her own seasons of struggle with openness and honesty, she helps inspire the listener to see that steadfastness and commitment are two of the most rewarding essentials to any life of faith.

Session Four — A Life In Bloom — inspires the listeners to see the beauty that can unfold in seasons of bloom. But it’s also a glimpse into seeing how this season requires just as much work as the previous seasons. No one-season offers all the fun nor all the work, and that it’s in its collective process where a life of faith can truly bloom.

Collecting Moments (3-4 Session Series)

Session One — It Starts With A Seemingly Insignificant Moment — challenges the listeners to consider how the seemingly insignificant moments of their lives might actually be the very catalysts for change they long to see. Paralleled to the life of Moses and his burning bush experience, Cindy invites the listener to consider how many life altering moments they miss by failing to acknowledge, not being aware of, or simply being too busy to notice, when, where and how, God is in and through the burning bush moments of their own lives.

Session Two — 10,000 Moments — is an insightful and surprisingly applicable look at Psalm 63 and how God reveals Himself through the lens of our own personal life experiences, circumstances, opportunities and everyday moments. Through the power of collective story telling, this session is interactive, group participatory, and always a crowd favourite as it helps each listener be aware of how they build a collection of 10,000 faith moments.

Session Three — It’s All In How You See Your Moments — inspires the listeners to consider how powerful their life perspective can be if they see their moments for what they are, not what they aren’t. By paralleling a true-life account of prisoners within a concentration camp during the Holocaust, this session challenges the listeners to see their life moments through the lens of scripture and to consider what could happen if they choose to live out their everyday life moments led by and empowered by the Holy Spirit’s promptings and perspective.

**ADD** Session Four — Your Gallery Wall Of Moments — inspires the listener to take a hard, long look at the entirety of their life and consider what they’re spending their days collecting. What collection does their life display? What will their life’s work represent? As this session discusses a variety of characters in the Bible and the collection of life’s work they are known for, it provokes each listener to consider what their faith collection will look like and what moments will be standouts in their own personal gallery wall of faith.

This series challenges, inspires and invites the listener …

  • To reflect on the standout moments that have unfolded in their lives so far this year
  • To articulate the types of moments they are experiencing in their day-to-day
  • To ask questions and critically think about what God might be trying to say to them through the moments they are experiencing
  • To give consideration to the Holy Spirit and spend time praying about their life moments
  • To define what it means to collect moments in life, not things
