It’s good to work hard.
It’s good to be responsible.
It’s good to steward your time, your talent, your energy and your life dreams to the best of your ability.
But at the end of the day, what He desires to happen will happen, and what He doesn’t desire to happen won’t happen.
Your pursuit of excellence and your drive for wise living comes from God himself. He desires for you to honor Him with your efforts. But never get so caught up in the doing and being that you forget about His plans, His grace, His timing, His mercy. All that you are and all that you have are because He is gently guiding your flawed frailty toward His perfect likeness and perfect will for your life.
Answer this question: Does the God who lavishly provides you with his own presence, his Holy Spirit, working things in your lives you could never do for yourselves, does he do these things because of your strenuous moral striving or because you trust him to do them in you? Don’t these things happen among you just as they happened with Abraham? He believed God, and that act of belief was turned into a life that was right with God. -Galatians 3:5-6 (MSG)
When we are weak, HE is strong.
Freeing, isn’t it?
