Sometimes the seasons drag. Like winter.
Last week while doing my devotions I felt the Holy Spirit stir my heart with a sense of anticipation, which was odd. Feeling a sense of anticipation while looking out the window at more snow falling felt contradictory.
But that’s when I heard Him say, “Despite what you see, do you trust that summer is coming?”
It’s easy to feel like our difficult circumstances will last forever. There are times in life when the hardships just keep comin’ and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.
But have you ever heard of winter lasting 365 days?
Eventually the sun does shine.
Eventually the blue skies do appear.
Eventually the green grass does grow.
Seasons rotate.
Trust that.
Hope in that.
Anticipate that.
When the winter conditions and circumstances keep freezing you with fear, hold your head up high, anticipate the good and keep moving.
Because despite what you see, or feel, summer IS coming.
”Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
