So often we feel like what we do is unimportant and insignificant, but what filter are we seeing this through? To human eyes, sure, it may seem and be deemed unglamorous and unsuccessful. But to God, our dedication and steadfastness is noticed.

When Rome surprised their people by recognizing Isidore the Farmer as a saint, it had them scratching their heads in wonderment. He wasn’t known as anything special to the eyes of culture, yet he somehow earned himself the highest of honorable recognition. How? Why?

It could be said that as Isidore tilled the grounds as a farmer for wealthy landowners, angels could be seen assisting him. So define importance. Define significance.

God honors those who are willing to stay the course, and if you see your life through the eyes of God rather than the eyes of the world, you’ll see and know that it is all-important.

Faithfulness matters.

But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.” 1 Samuel 12:24 (NLT)
