Truth To Hear

Too Intentional To Be Busy

By November 13, 2017 No Comments

Every year I hear about how Christmas is so hard for so many… how lots of people find no joy in it at all… how it’s a high time of depression, hopelessness and loneliness. And every year I find myself reminiscing over how fast it flew and how I never had the chance to *fill in the blank*.

I’m tired of being too busy to be intentional.
This year I want to be too intentional to be busy.

This year I want to do all the things I’ve been wishing I could do:

Invite my neighbours over for dinner…
Volunteer at a shelter…
Give some Christmas gifts to an organization in need…
Host a carol sing…
Play carols for a Seniors facility…
Concentrate on spreading joy wherever I go…

Why?

Because Christmas is so much more than the commercial mess culture has made it and I know the only way I can create new tradition and form new meaning is by stepping out and tangibly putting my heart into motion.

So that’s what I’m gonna do.

Ask yourself this:

What does Christmas mean to Christ and am I representing Him at Christmas?

‘Tis the season for sharing hope, love and joy.
