Dear Lord God in Heaven,
Keep me safe this very day,
Ward all evils from my way.
Keep me straight and keep me true,
That one day I’ll return to you.
And when I’m tempted o’er the norm,
Shelter my soul from evil’s storm.
For in Your love, a life it brings,
Far above all earthly things.
And when my day draws to an end,
Comfort me my closest friend.
For in the darkness weakness shows,
And without your light by day it grows.
But in your guardianship I trust,
Thy truth and love be more than just.
My only prayer to ask of thee,
Is peace of Your tranquility.
