We’re told to work hard and then work harder.
We’re encouraged to try a million different strategies to get results.
We’re applauded for long hours and exhaustive reinvention.
But this kind of striving and chasing always makes one feel like life is waiting to start just around the corner. It’s never enough. Never attainable.
Instead, I want to live a life that makes me feel like I am enough right here, right now.
Where my worth isn’t defined by what I achieve, but by His grace.
Where striving isn’t encouraged, but resting is.
Where glory isn’t found in seeking the spotlight, but in surrendering.
Where I can wake up every morning and breathe deep knowing He has everything in control.
“When God is in it, it flows.
When the flesh is in it, it’s forced. If He is in it, it’s remarkable how approval will be granted, how a growing interest will percolate, and how the timing will fall right into place. It will come together almost in spite of you.”
