A friend of mine shared this picture to her Facebook page the other day and it caught my eye. But in keeping with Wednesday’s devotional, “Humans of The Cross,” and yesterday’s devotional, “But God,” this picture caught my heart even more.
If God is asking us to be present in the lives of our neighbors, and if He’s leading and guiding us in the truth of His ways, then we have absolutely zero need to “but” in nor make excuses as to what those parameters should look like.
Love thy neighbor means we love them. Period.
All of them.
No conditions.
No strings.
No excuses.
Just love.
Period.
Because every person you meet is on “your street.”
”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 7:12
