What Would Your Gallery Wall of Faith Look Like?

By April 4, 2018 No Comments

They’re a popular household feature, it seems.

Every house I enter seems to have a feature wall that holds their most memorable life moments.

These walls are usually about weddings, babies, graduations, vacations, generations, reunions and other special photo shoots, but sometimes these gallery walls boast a display of candid moments that hold inside jokes that only the family knows about.

However they’re designed and however they’re displayed, gallery walls are a special touch to any home and I’ve come to adore gallery walls … not just my own, but each one I see because each gallery wall tells a story of beautiful life moments.

So I can’t help but think how our faith journeys would also tell interesting stories if they were to be displayed in the exact same way.

Each gallery wall is unique.
Each faith journey is unique.

Each gallery wall is creative in color, design and layout.
Each faith journey is creative in color, design and layout.

Each gallery wall can offer hours of conversation about its photos, its moments and its memories, and I wonder … oh how I wonder …

How much more would we think about God if our faith moments were on display for us to see everyday?

How much more would we appreciate our faith journeys if we were to actually frame the standout moments and hang them as marks of importance on our walls?

How much more would we talk about our faith if people could actually see the cool things that God is doing in our lives?

Moses would have a gallery wall of obedience.
Joshua would have a gallery wall of leadership.
David would have a gallery wall of passion.
Joseph would have a gallery wall of devotion.
Noah would have a gallery wall of steadfastness.
Esther would have a gallery wall of sacrifice.
Job would have a gallery wall of faith.
Ruth would have a gallery wall of trust.
Daniel would have a gallery wall of faithfulness.
Paul would have a gallery wall of zeal.

What about you?

What would your gallery wall of faith look like?
What memories would your gallery wall represent?
What kind of moments with God would your gallery wall display?

With a million things to do and not enough hours in the day to get it done, it's easy to zone out and slip into autopilot in order to survive. But perhaps life is not about adding more things to your already lengthy list, but rather, about pausing in the midst of it all to consider if what you're doing is really important.
