Everyday there is something to think about. Our daily lives are jam packed with activities and responsibilities. These daily tasks fill our lives in such a way that we live in a continual state of forward motion thinking – always wondering, planning and preparing for the next thing, the next task, and the next day. Because of this, we take pictures we’ll look at later, we capture video footage we’ll watch later, we make promises we’ll think about later, we say prayers we’ll thank God for later, and we experience miracles that we’ll recognize as miracles later.
But in our “I’ll worry about it later” mentality, we miss right now.
Sometimes we just need to stop and acknowledge how wonderful everything is right now.
Sometimes we just need to be aware of the glorious lives we are living right now.
Sometimes we just need to breathe, to lift our heads above the rat race and list – in as many ways as we can – how much God is doing in us and for us right now.
Right now is beautiful.
And for as long as you live, you will never again have another right now moment.
So today might be a good day to crack open some old photos, hit play on some old video footage, call a long-lost friend, make good on some spoken promises, acknowledge the answered prayers, and thank God for the everyday right now miracles.
Because it’s only upon reflecting that you realize how much He has been there all along, and how much He has carried you through.
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
