Foolish people don’t sit around and think they’re foolish.
Unaware people don’t think they’re unaware.
Stupid people think it’s everybody else who are the stupid ones.
As Eleanor Roosevelt puts it,
“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”
Or, to quote our scripture for today, Proverbs 23:9:
“Don’t bother talking sense to fools; they’ll only poke fun at your words.”
You can’t have a healthy relationship with an unhealthy person and sometimes wisdom resolution is about walking away.
